Surendra Bagaria, MD


After Dr. Bagaria obtained his medical degree with honors  from Nalanda Medical College in India, he moved to New York City, where he completed seven years of residency and fellowship in pediatrics, internal medicine, and cardiology. The last year of his fellowship was spent at New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Bagaria joined the solo cardiology practice of Dr. Maiese in 1989, and helped grow the practice to a multi-physician specialty group. He is one of the founders of the South Jersey Heart Group. He has Board Certifications in internal medicine, critical care, cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. Subsequent to his five Board Certifications, he had recertification boards in echocardiography and cardiology. He served as the Director of ICU at JFK Washington Township Hospital for more than 15 years. He is presently serving as a board member of JFK Foundation. He has also received the honor of being named a “Top Doc” by South Jersey Magazine multiple times.

Dr. Bagaria’s community service interests include serving on the board of the India Temple Association as well as the Indian Cultural Center. He currently practices Cardiology at the Sewell and Berlin offices of South Jersey.
