John J. Finley IV, MD
Dr. John J. Finley, IV’s undergraduate education started at Villanova University and then finished with his AB from Dartmouth College. After graduating from Jefferson Medical College, he completed his internship, residency, and general cardiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. During his time there he served as the Chief Resident and Chief Fellow. Dr. Finley then spent another dedicated year of subspecialty fellowship in interventional cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He started in private practice for four years at Pennsylvania Heart and Vascular Group, practicing out of the Aria Health, Jeanes, Holy Redeemer, Abington, and Nazareth Hospitals before joining Lourdes. He served as interim Head Director and also Assistant Medical Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Aria Health.
He has published multiple scholarly articles in various journals including Circulation, JACC Heart Failure, and Interventional Cardiology in addition to contributing to medical textbooks and presenting abstracts at national conferences. Dr. Finley is Board Certified in internal medicine, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, general cardiology, and interventional cardiology and is recognized as a Fellow for both the American College of Cardiology as well as the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention. His current areas of special interest are complex coronary interventions, including chronic total occlusions, radial catheterizations, and peripheral vascular disease interventions.
Dr. Finley performs coronary and peripheral interventional procedures at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, and Kennedy Health. He currently serves as assistant director of the cardiac catheterization lab at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Dr. Finley sees patients in the Lourdes Care Cherry Hill office and at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Interventional office.
