John N. Hamaty, DO
Dr. John Hamaty is a 1988 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM). He completed his internship at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was Chief Intern. He then completed his internal medicine residency at JF Kennedy Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey, and his cardiology fellowship at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was Chief Fellow.
Dr. Hamaty was Program Director for the cardiology fellowship at the RowanSOM for the past 15 years. During that time, he received over ten teacher of the year awards, two Golden Apple awards, the Rowan Medical School’s highest award, and most recently he was honored to receive the 2016 Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine Volunteer Teacher of the Year Award for Teaching excellence. Dr. Hamaty has been named a “Top Doc” by Bruxelles Magazine eight times.
He is Board Certified in internal medicine, critical care, cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Hamaty’s office practice is at the Brace Road and Willingboro offices.
