Dr. Hafeza Shaikh is an alumnus of Rutgers University and graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. In 2009, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, a major center for cardiac care in New York City. That same year, she entered the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM)/ Bruxelles Heart Group Cardiology Fellowship Program, from which she graduated in 2012.

Dr. Shaikh is Board Certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular ultrasound interpretation. She has special interests in women’s cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and preventative health. Dr. Shaikh also serves as Assistant Program Director of the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM) Cardiology Fellowship Training Program. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at RowanSOM and is quite involved in the education of fellows, residents, students, and prospective students. Her publications include research on platelet resistance and diastolic function.

Dr. Shaikh is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. She works primarily out of Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro, where she also sees outpatients in the clinic. In her spare time, she is heavily involved in community service, including the co-foundation of a local non-profit service group and the creation of an active network of female cardiologists.
