Faisal Siddiqi, MD
Dr. Siddiqi completed his medical residency at the prestigious Yale New Haven Hospital. He subsequently pursued his interest in cardiology at the University of Maryland and graduated with competencies for clinical cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. During this time, he also developed a commitment for cardiac electrophysiology and pursued research interests in arrhythmia-related disorders. His work gained recognition in peer-reviewed publications and was presented at national academic conferences.
Dr. Siddiqi went on to specialize in arrhythmia management, completing a two-year fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Campus, where he honed his skills for minimally invasive electrophysiology procedures with cutting-edge technology under the direction of world-renowned cardiac electrophysiologists.
Dr. Siddiqi now specializes in the treatment of a myriad of arrhythmia conditions, including brady-arrhythmias, cardiac resynchronization, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, supraventricular tachycardias, ventricular tachycardias, and atrial fibrillation. He also specializes in lead management and performs highly specialized laser-assisted cardiac extraction procedures. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society, American College of Cardiology and is distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). Dr. Siddiqi is Board Certified in internal medicine, clinical cardiology, and cardiac electrophysiology.
Moreover, Dr. Siddiqi is a strong proponent of keeping abreast with the latest advancements in the field. His current interests include left atrial appendage closure using the Watchman device, subcutaneous ICD implantation, and His-Bundle pacing for more physiologic pacemaker therapy. He will also be taking a primary role at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in the offering of miniaturized pacemakers delivered percutaneously via a minimally invasive approach.
Dr. Siddiqi prides himself on his patient care and attention to detail. Each patient is treated as an individual and the appropriate treatment plan is uniquely tailored to best serve the patient.
